Obviously, I love Tyrion Lannister the most. I believe that if you do not love Tyrion, you have no heart. He is, to me, the heart of the series.
Game of Thrones, pardon me. Please do not ever kill this man.
He is the best thing about this show, or well, some of you will say one of the best things. I love other characters as well. But Tyrion is the one who sits on the iron throne of my heart.
DRINK
What is a Lannister without a glass of wine? Alcoholism seems to run in the family, and it’s awesome.
Alcohol does make people more honest sometimes, if not drive them to do reckless things or sleep.
“I drink and I know things,”
Tyrion said in Season 6 Episode 2, after telling his newfound family in Mereen that the dragons had to be unchained.
Find out what people want and use that for your advantage
Now, Tyrion is good at this. He always makes sure he can get to people in the “I can give you what you want” sense. This is why people do what he asks for – and why people are willing to go the distance for this man.
He knows what they want, and he can name a price.
“A Lannister always pays his debts.”
Learn cultures and languages
Tyrion is a curious man. He drowns himself in book and uses knowledge as his sword. He is always keen on learning new things, discovering, and understanding others. This is his strength.
When others may stumble upon dealing with foreign groups, Tyrion will analyze them and figure out what to say and how to bond with them.
“My brother has his sword, King Robert has his warhammer and I have my mind…and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much Jon Snow.”
Accept yourself (and laugh at it if you need to)
Tyrion is a dwarf. And it is, in some ways, worse than being a bastard. But he isn’t ashamed, and it is probably due to years of trying to accept that some things can’t be changed. So do not see yourself as something less, accept who you are and what you are – and learn how to laugh at it and brush it off.
Because that is what people use to hurt you the most, and if you can control it, you can’t be harmed.
“Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like an armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.”
Embrace possibilities despite challenges
Tyrion is half his brother’s height. He has to move faster to keep up with people around him. And he is tiny.
But it doesn’t stop him from leading a war or walking into the dragon cave. Doesn’t stop him from talking to the dragons and unchaining them. Alone. With the dragons.
Have confidence – you can do great things despite what you think are stopping you.
“Ofttimes a very small man can cast a very large shadow.”
