A Yayoi Kusama Day

When in Singapore, I visited the National Gallery and fell in love with the exhibition. It was Yayoi Kusama.

And damn, this was such a wonderful experience.

Yayoi Kusama is one heck of an artist. Her beautiful mind brings us her masterpieces, and I was blown away when I visited this gallery.

Reading her stories and how she grew up seeing things differently made me sad, but at the same time I knew that if it weren’t for the things she went through during childhood, then she wouldn’t have been able to create such wonders. The sacrifices for greatness.

As you can probably see, she sees dots everywhere. When seeing them all the time would drive people crazy, it drove her into brilliance.

I am looking forward to seeing more of her works, elsewhere. Hopefully I’ll get to travel wherever her next exhibitions will be held at.
